For as long as I can remember, I have loved talking, being around people, and organizing systems and communities to do good things for themselves and others.
So it’s no wonder that I started an NGO and ended up as a trainer and facilitator of programs that support social, emotional and ethical education in schools by training the adults around our children, whether at home or at school.
I founded the Verita Foundation in 2012 and for more than 10 years we have been working to bring more compassion, presence and well-being to teachers and professors in Romania, so that the generations of children they work with in schools become wise adults who care about their own well-being and that of those around them.
After more than 7 years of teaching social and emotional education in the classroom at Verita International School, I work with a team of passionate education enthusiasts at the helm of the school that has the great responsibility of raising more than 600 healthy children from 3 to 18 years old.
I am a SEE Learning Facilitator, a credential offered by Emory University, and an accredited teacher of mindfulness techniques through the University of California’s Greater Good Science Center.
I am currently taking Harvard Business School’s Leadership in Education course to better understand how we can create and sustain communities of educators, parents, and teachers to better shape and guide future generations.
Last but not least, I am a daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, a colleague, and in all of these cherished and important roles, I try to be as present as I can to myself and those around me. I am a great believer in the power of the greater good, and I know that with more aware people and more space for compassion and generosity, we can educate and inspire generations of children who need our support in an often chaotic and changing world.
