Andreea Abe Neagu is a mental health specialist, expert in assessment and therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, families, parents and adults. She believes in the healing power of play and its use in all forms of interaction with children and the adults around them.
She holds several national and international specializations in clinical psychology, integrative psychotherapy, play therapy, family therapy, drama therapy, and adult therapy. She is also a supervisor and trainer for other mental health professionals working with children, adolescents and families. She has created support communities for them, where they meet regularly to improve their professional practice. She is also a speaker on parenting and child mental health in the context of child development in family and educational settings.
She is the author of books on play therapy, psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention manuals for mental health professionals, and psychoeducational materials for parents and teachers.
She maintains a private practice, collaborates with various institutions, has an active presence in online media, and previously worked as a school counselor at Verita International School.
She is currently on maternity leave and is enjoying her co-created relationship with her son and quiet family life.
