Thank you for your interest in participating in Learning Tapestry. Before you proceed to purchase tickets, we strongly recommend you to go through the following event ticketing terms and conditions. These terms & conditions are legally binding between you and the organizers.
Terms & Conditions relating to learningtapestry.ro website and services provided herein.
I. Definitions:
VIS World Resources is a Romanian company, with headquarters in Bucharest, 22A Gheorghe Pripu street, district 1, fiscal identification code RO 39491213, registered with the Trade Register under no. J40/12682/2013 (hereinafter reffered to as ’VIS WR’/’Organizer’);
Learning and Development Center for Education Foundation Bucharest, a Romanian non-profit foundation with headquarters in Bucharest, 28B Telescopului street, District 1, fiscal identification code 39491213, registered with the Register of Foundations and Associations under no. 4 / 4.06.2018 (hereinafter referred to as ‘The Foundation’/’Organizer Partner’);
Learning Tapestry is an event organized by VIS WR in partnership with The Foundation, during June 5th and 6th, 2024, in Bucharest – multiple venues: Face Venue in Face Convention Center; Commons Unirii; Impact Hub Universitate; BISM HQ 2nd floor Lounge (hereinafter referred to as ‘Learning Tapestry’/’Event’/’Event service’);
Contractual Partner – an economic operator or other natural/ legal persons with the exception of The Foundation, who carries out independent commercial activities at a certain event, based on a contractual relationship with VIS WR;
Venue – Face Convention Center, 3-5 Piata Presei Libere, the location where the DAY 1 of the Event will take place; multiple venues for DAY 2 where the workshops and masterclasses will take place;
In this section, words like: ‘visitor’, ‘ticket buyer’, ‘holder’, ‘bearer’, ‘purchaser’, and ‘app user’ will refer to you – the person who will buy the tickets/access codes to the event ‘Learning Tapestry’;
Words like: ‘our’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘issuer’, ‘provider’ and similar terms will indicate the organizer of the Event, respectively VIS WR;
Website learningtapestry.ro refers to the website owed by VIS WR;
Ticket/access code: unique alphanumeric code transposed into graphic format (barcode/QR) delivered and stored in electronic format and which ensures the holder access to the Event or to the Services described by the VIS WR;
Ticketing platform – myconnector.ro owned by MYCONNECTOR PLATFORM SRL (hereinafter referred to as ‘MyConnector’);
Services refers to learningtapestry.ro (‘website’), related mobile application (‘mobile apps’), the Event itself, online streaming, any other services offered under the learningtapestry brand, provided by VIS WR or its Partners, either free or paid. These Services do not include use of other services available through external links (like logo links – redirecting to another website or social media pages).
II. LEGAL RELATIONSHIP
2.1. The Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as GTC, General Terms and Conditions) apply to the organization and conduct of the Event, and also to usage of the Website and contain the provisions which each visitor commits to comply with.
2.2. You are not required to register as a member within the Website in order to use some features of our Services.
2.3. By purchasing a ticket or by attending the Event, the visitor declares to have read and understood and undertakes to comply with the GTC, which also include the Privacy & Cookies Policy.
2.4. The Terms and Conditions are valid indefinitely. The visitors agree that the Organizer has the right to unilaterally amend these GTC, without the need for previous notification. Should the GTC be amended, the respective amendments shall take effect immediately after publication on the Website. The Organizer stipulates that the GTC can be amended after the purchase of the ticket, even right before the Services/Event and recommends the visitors to monitor the changes to these GTC.
2.5. By opting to access our website (learningtapestry.ro) and any of its pages, you automatically agree to have understood and accepted our terms of use. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the risk allocations mentioned here, please discontinue browsing our website and do not purchase tickets.
2.6. You must not misrepresent affiliation with any person or entity presented on the Website, use any information presented or pertaining to the Services for advertising, unsolicited or illegal purposes, or promote or use information connected to the event that may infringe the rights of third parties.
2.7. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Website is solely for your personal and non-commercial use. Accordingly, you are prohibited from copying, distributing, displaying, reproducing, publishing, licensing, selling, creating derivative works or materials from any information, software, products, or services obtained through the Website or the Services. You are also prohibited from using the Services in any other commercial manner without the prior written permission expressly granted by the Organizer or its partners.
2.8. The Website contains links to third-party websites that are not under the control of the organizers. When accessing these websites, you are responsible for complying with their privacy statements and terms.
2.9. The Visitor agree to indemnify the Organizer for any damages, losses, liabilities, or harm that these parties may suffer or may incur as a result of the non-compliance with these GTC by the Visitor.
III. Tickets Purchase
3.1. Visitors are granted the access and participation to the Event at the times and according to the conditions specified by the Organizer; by purchasing a valid ticket each visitor acquires the right to participate in the Event.
3.2. Tickets are not sold directly by VIS WR and their payment is not processed directly by VIS WR. The ticket authorizing the participation to the Event is sold to the visitor/ticket buyer, online, by the ticketing platform, respectively by accessing the website myconnector.ro (as this right is transferred by VIS WR). All payments are made through the ticketing platform. VIS WR guarantees only the validity of the tickets sold through the ticketing platform.
3.3. For accessing some features of the ticketing platform, you might be required to register using provided credentials in accordance with the ticketing platform’s Terms and Conditions. Additional information regarding the detailed conditions applicable to the purchase of the tickets online will be provided by the ticketing platform when purchasing the tickets.
3.4. The visitor/ticket buyer will receive information form MyConnector especially regarding the following aspects: taxes and commissions applied to the price established by VIS WR, payment and methods of making the payment, invoicing, data processing of the visitor/ticket buyer and possibilities of repayment, to the extent in which they exist.
3.5. When accessing the Website, click on any available ticket/pass to be redirected to the ticketing platform. Choose between a DAY1 pass or a combination of the DAY1 pass and workshops on the second day. Select one or two workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, out of the five available options. The combinations are pre-set for you to choose. After providing the necessary information and completing the payment, you will receive an email containing the access code for the event and additional instructions. If you purchase multiple tickets, please assign them no later than 5 days before the event. The codes will not be active unless the purchaser has provided all the required details and each beneficiary (the assign tab).
3.6. The bearer has to assume full responsibility of the Learning Tapestry tickets/access codes, once (s)he receives it. Ensure that you do not share your access code with anyone. Once registered at the venue and the code allocated, the ticket is considered ‘used’ and cannot be reclaimed.
3.7. Tickets accepted by the Organizer and purchased on the ticketing platform are in electronic format and will be sent to you as an access code via confirmation email. Each holder is required to print or save the access code on an electronic device and present it at the Face Venue (registration desk) on DAY 1, or present the original ticket in electronic format (on a phone, tablet or other electronic device that allows this) when checking in at the Face Venue (registration desk) on DAY 1.
3.8. Ticket buyers receive their tickets by e-mail. If you have not received your ticket by email within 24 hours of placing your order, you must contact the ticketing platform within 5 days of purchasing the ticket, but no later than 7 (seven) days prior to the start of the Event. The Organizer is in no way responsible for this kind of situations, and in the absence of a valid ticket, access to the event will not be allowed.
3.9. By purchasing the event tickets, you automatically confirm that you/the attendee(s) are of the ‘minimum age’ or older, at the time of buying the ticket(s). The ‘minimum age’ for attending Learning Tapestry is 18.
3.10. You are solely responsible for providing and maintaining true, accurate, current, and complete information each time you register, login, provide billing information, create a profile, or otherwise provide such information in accordance with applicable law.
IV. Tickets and related access codes
4.1. The price of one Learning Tapestry ticket is 90, 140, 160 or 1500 euros and the reference exchange rate is MyConnector established rate. This figure is non-negotiable. Payment will be made in the Romanian currency, lei.
4.2. The ticket you purchase represents a revocable license for you to access FACE VENUE or any of the workshops venues on 05.06.2024 and 06.06.2024, when the Event is scheduled to be hosted. The license includes the revocable right to attending the Event. If the license is revoked, you will not be granted entry at the Face Venue.
4.3. Kindly note that myconnector.ro is the sole authorized source for purchasing Learning Tapestry tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other unauthorized source, you take on the risks of those tickets/access codes turning out to be counterfeit. The issuer has the right to dishonor such counterfeit tickets/access codes and declare them as void.
4.4. Please note that the tickets cannot be redeemed against cash, credits, or any other benefits.
4.5. VIS WR has the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the ticketing terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, the decision of VIS WR will be deemed final (i.e. the issuer will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).
4.6. The Event Service will be deemed to have been delivered in its entirety as soon as Learning Tapestry starts on 05.06.2024. From that point on, no refund requests will be entertained.
4.7. It is recognized and agreed that despite confirming speakers and topics upon publication, unforeseen circumstances may require substitutions, alterations, or cancellations. Therefore, the Organizer retain the right to modify advertised speakers and topics as needed, without liability. Any such changes will be communicated on the Website.
V. Limitation of liability and Force Majeure
5.1. If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the venue – FACE VENUE or workshop venues – due to delays, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown/evacuation or any other reason, you will not be eligible for any refunds or future credits.
5.2. If Learning Tapestry is cancelled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances and /or due to justified adverse circumstances such as: inclement weather, safety concerns, unexpected venue issues, medical emergencies preventing a speaker’s participation, or other situations beyond our control, VIS WR & The Foundation have the sole and absolute right to reschedule the Event or not issue any refunds. Please note that the decision of the issuer in such cases will be deemed final and binding.
5.3. The Organizer reserves the right to also postpone, modify, cancel, interrupt, or stop an event. In such cases, the Event organizer and/or the Organizer Partner are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the modification, cancellation or postponement of the event.
5.4. Force majeure: organizer and the organizer partner are not liable for any non-performance, cancellation, error, interruption, or delay in obligations, website operations, or service provision due to events beyond reasonable control. This includes natural calamities, acts of terrorism, government directives, power failures, and third-party service provider actions. Organizers bear no liability for associated costs, losses, or damages incurred by purchasers, ticket holders, or others. Efforts will be made to reschedule canceled events within two years, with terms outlined in subsequent notices. Refunds are subject to these terms and applicable law.
5.5. If Learning Tapestry has to be rescheduled to other dates, you will not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s).
5.6. Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, have to be borne by the purchaser. VIS WR cannot be, in any way, held liable for that.
5.7. All ticket sales are deemed as FINAL TRANSACTIONS. There will be no ticket returns/exchanges/cancellations.
5.8. If it is proven beyond doubt at the venue that an attendee is below the ‘minimum age’, (s)he will not be granted entry to Learning Tapestry. No refunds, full or partial, will be issued either.
5.9. Speakers at our events express their personal views. We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of their information, and we are not liable for any advice or information shared during our events or in related materials. Our goal is to encourage conversations and the exchange of ideas.
5.10. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the lineup of speakers or other advertised programs/services/features without prior notice. Any significant changes will be communicated to you in writing. You acknowledge that no refunds or compensation will be provided for changes made, including cancellations or modifications to services. The organizer is not responsible for delays or failures in providing updated information if caused by inaccurate contact details provided by you.
5.11. Please note that you purchase the tickets on your own free will. As such, you do not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card that had been used for the transaction. Further refund/return/cancellation requests will not be entertained either.
VI. Recordings carried out within The Event
6.1. Photography, audio, or video recording is prohibited during the event unless expressly permitted by the Organizer. Visitors cannot sell, use for commercial purposes, use for free, identify Visitors appearing in the recordings without their consent, or violate the personal rights of other Visitors.
6.2. By attending the Event, you consent to being photographed, recorded and streamed online by the Organizer/Organizer Partner or by any third party acting on behalf of the Organizer. The organizer may use your image or likeness in live or recorded video displays, photographs, and publicity materials for advertises purposes, without compensation.
6.3. For security reasons, the Face Venue is supervised with video cameras by the Contractual Partners of the Organizer. The processing of your personal data taken over the surveillance video cameras takes place whenever you are in Face Venue/workshops venues, and by participating at the Event the visitors explicitly gives their consent for this processing. Also, the Event can be video recorded or photographed, for marketing and advertising purposes, as provided by art. 6.2.
6.4. The categories of personal data processed, the means, the purposes of the processing, as well as the entire policy of VIS WR regarding the processing of personal data are found in the Privacy Policy available on learningtapestry.ro in the Privacy and Cookies Policy section.
VII. Access and registration to the Event. Attending the Event
7.1. In order to be granted access to the Face Venue or workshops venues, the owner of a ticket has the obligation to make the check-in for the purchased ticket. The ticket buyer has to check in on-site (at the entrance of the Face Venue, at the registration desk, on DAY1); on DAY2 the Organizer will have staff checking the workshop or masterclass registration.
7.2. Upon arrival at the Face Venue, please proceed to the registration area and present your ticket code to receive your badge. Please note that tickets are non-transferable after physical registration.
7.3. By purchasing the tickets and presenting the code at the Face Venue, you consent to VIS WR/The Foundation collecting certain information about you, including your name, for verification and storage purposes.
7.4. VIS WR & The Foundation does not take any responsibility to personal/financial damages caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost/stolen/misplaced at the venue. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.
7.5. Learning Tapestry and VIS WR & The Foundation follow a common ‘zero-tolerance policy’ towards unauthorized drug usage or carrying at the venue, AND towards any type of behavior/actions that can be interpreted as lewd or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items at Learning Tapestry and/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event ticket(s) will become void from that point on.
7.6. The Organizer/Organizer Partner have a strict policy against any form of harassment towards our users and event participants. We expect all participants to behave in a civil, professional, and respectful manner. Failure to comply with this expectation may result in sanctions or removal from the event without refund, as determined by the Event Organizer.
7.7. Visitors are fully responsible, both under civil and criminal law, for any damages they have caused to VIS WR and the Foundation or its Contractual Partners, other Visitors and third Parties within the Event or in connection with the Event.
VIII. Intellectual Property Rights
8.1. Everything posted on the Website, as well as on various kinds of media at the Face Venue, other venues, on social media or during PR and advertising campaigns, such as, without limitation, images, texts, graphics, symbols, logos, databases, etc. will be the property of VIS WR /The Foundation/ Contractual Partners.
8.2. Visitors and Third Parties may not use, copy, distribute, publish or incorporate in other documents or materials such markings/information in any form for the purpose of generating revenue without the express and prior written permission of VIS WR /The Foundation/ Contractual Partners. You are authorized to use the content solely as permitted by the Organizer/Organizer’s Partner/Contractual Partner, for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may save, download, or print the content for personal use, provided that you retain all copyright and proprietary notices. The Organizer/Organizer’s Partner/Contractual Partner must give prior written consent for any commercial use, reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display of the content. If you have a legitimate claim regarding any material on the Website, please contact us with relevant evidence for review and potential rectification or removal. The Organizer retains all intellectual property rights, whether explicitly stated or not, throughout the Website, Event, and provided materials.
8.3. The images, logos, texts of the Organizer/Organizer’s Partner/Contractual Partners belong to them and are reproduced on the Website or at the Face Venue with their approval.
8.4. The Organizer shall endeavor to identify the unaddressed messages received on the Website, by recreating the direct link to the source or by mentioning the persons listed on this Website, but it cannot always guarantee the existence of the reproduced source.
IX. Promotional Offers
9.1. VIS WR, at its sole discretion, shall determine the conditions for carrying out promotions on the Website, under the law. The promotions, raffles and competitions shall be carried out for a limited period and shall expire automatically on the date indicated for each and every promotion.
9.2. Any promotion may be discontinued or canceled at any time without prior notice. However, all visitors will be notified of the interruption or cancellation.
X. Disputes
10.1. Any conflict between the Organizer and its clients as a result of participating at the Event or using the Website will be solved amicably. If this is not possible, the dispute shall be referred to the competent Romanian courts of law from Bucharest.
10.2. The applicable law is the Romanian law.
XI. Miscellaneous Provisions
11.1 These Terms and Conditions, representing the Contract between the visitor and the Organizer, may be assigned by the latter without the consent of the visitor.
11.2. The name of the chapters and the sub-titles are for reference only and should not be taken into account in the interpretation or construction of these GTC.
11.3 If any of the clauses in this GTC are declared null and void, the rest of the clauses will continue to produce their effects, and the clause declared null or unenforceable will be replaced by a new clause that reflects as closely as possible the will of the Organizer.
